Washington June 21 President Truman sealed a vote sending a broad pay raise for federal workers into effect July. About 480000 general service employees gain 2.50 each week, while 850000 with specific classifications receive 3.40 or more. Postal workers also see higher rates with rate changes approved. Special delivery stamps rise, and postage cards increase by four cents.
