DeConcini Urges More Aid to Mexico for Border Curb

Probation violator Creque arrested in Flagstaff stop

Alicia Ark man Edward Watson Creque, 21, wanted on a Galveston sheriff’s list, was nabbed by Flagstaff police Tuesday evening during a routine stop on the east I-40 interchange while hitchhiking with two others. A separate report notes Cindy Tremmel in Gilman Iowa reporting a purse theft from a supermarket lot Monday, with a $55 watch, $50 in jewelry, and $12 cash taken from an unlocked vehicle. The theft was logged Tuesday morning.

Bicycle stolen from East Flagstaff tavern, 105 value

Police report a 10 speed bicycle valued at 105 dollars was taken from the front of a Santa Barbara area tavern on Tuesday night. It had been locked between 6:00 and 8:15 p.m. The owner said the bike belongs to friend Stacy Pilger of Santa Barbara, California.

One Killed In Crash Near Canyon

A motorhome crash on State Route 64 near the Grand Canyon killed Cindy Churchill 24 of Tustin and injured three others. Driver Linda Neer 25 of Garden Grove suffered a broken pelvis. Sharleen Silverman 31 and Clinton 22 from Huntington Beach were injured with head, arm, leg and other injuries.

Phoenix Fire Destroys Mill in 100 Degree Heat

In Phoenix a two alarm blaze at the Anderson Clayton cottonseed mill spilled into an overhead catwalk and 8,000 tons of seed. About 60 firefighters fought the five hour fire in afternoon heat, causing about 100000 dollars in damage after a spark from a battery jumper ignited diesel fuel on a forklift.

John Kranhold 24 an Arizona Daily Sun advertising account executive died Monday in Lake Lismore California. Born July 23 1952 in Billings Montana he moved to Los Angeles as a child and worked as a salesman in Los Angeles and at Seamon's in Flagstaff before joining The Arizona Daily Sun in 1976. Memorial services Thursday at 3 p.m. Lorenzen Mortuary Tarzana California cremation to follow. Survivors include his parents Robert and Jeanne Kranhold of Tarzana California donations to American Heart Association.

Garcia 73 Rosary at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church

Funeral services for Gregario R. Garcia 73 will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with a 7 80 p m rosary and a 9 a m mass on Thursday. He died Sunday at the Tucson Veterans Administration Hospital and had served 22 years in the U S Army retiring in 1945. He lived in Boise Idaho and Minnesota before moving to Flagstaff to stay with the Baca family. He was a Life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1709 and Guadalupe Church. Surviving siblings include Isabel Baca Louisa Gutierrez Sophie Vega Lupe Lucero and others. numerous nieces and nephews. Flagstaff Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
