Soviets Reject British Plan to Speed Talks on Disarmament

The Soviet Union signaled rejection of a British plan to accelerate disarmament talks at the Yatiation conference. Valerian Zorin said the Soviet stance would delay negotiations unless both sides proceed from rival American and Soviet plans. The conference was to discuss the four year old nuclear test ban as well, with calls for a permanent ban from nonaligned nations. Indian delegate Arthur Lall noted acknowledged rhetoric from Soviet and U.S. delegates but remained skeptical.

Frankie Lee Franklin, 68, died at Winslow Memorial Hospital Friday and was buried Tuesday in Desert View Cemetery. A former Missouri resident, she moved to Winslow in 1930s. Winslow Woman Buried Tuesday

Funeral services for Mrs. Ora Mae Alexander of Globe were held yesterday at the First Baptist Church of Winslow. Burial was at Desert View Cemetery. She died Saturday morning at Prairie Haven Rest Home.
