Incomes and Industry Hit June Highs Slowed Gains

Washington AP reports personal incomes rose to a record 441.4 billion annual rate in June, up 24 billion from May, while industrial production advanced but at a slower pace. A Ford strike and auto output cuts tempered growth, with June production near 117.8 percent of 1947 benchmarks. The data, seen as pivotal for Kennedy's tax cut considerations, shows mixed momentum in the economy.
