Caution Urges Fire Danger Drop on National Forest
Fire danger on the Coconino National Forest has eased to moderate in most areas while the Sedorta district remains high to very high in brush and small trees. Campfires permitted outside designated sites with extreme caution as humidity and sporadic rains aid containment. Fire dispatch notes daily lightning fires numbered a dozen or more but typically cover only a few square yards. One man-caused fire in the last two days burned under an acre and was quickly controlled.

Indigent Arraigned On Charges In Flagstaff Case
Reuben Garcia was arraigned in Flagstaff Precinct Justice Court on being an accessory to a felony. Declared indigent, he was released on his own recognizance after bail conditions were signed and a defense attorney appointed. A preliminary hearing will be set this week. William LeRoy Dean was arraigned on parole violation charges after arrest on a California fugitive warrant. Bond set at 850 dollars, extradition not waived, with formal proceedings to follow later this week.
