Apollo Boiler Plate 29 Finds Home at Meteor Crater
The 4.2 ton Apollo boiler plate no. 29 landed near the Meteor Crater Museum east of Flagstaff after a long effort by Meteor Crater manager Joe Keaps and talks with NASA. Smithsonian officials will decide on its display as part of a broader collection including Apollo 21 gear. The Meteor Crater Museum also opened a rock display, drawing visitors to Northern Arizona's geologic site.

Relocation Dispute Topics For Rotary Talk In Arizona
Hawley Atkinson chairman of the Navajo Hopi Relocation Commission outlined problems in the northeast Arizona land dispute before Playstaff East Rotary Club. The 89 by 77 mile joint use area set aside in 1877 faces court orders dividing land between Hopi and Navajo. About 50 Hopi families may move and over 3,500 Navajo families, with only one Navajo family resettled so far in Flagstaff and another in Gallup New Mexico. About 250 Navajo families have volunteered. some resist relocation. The commission stresses Congress mandated relocation with compensation scales up to 5 000 dollars for early movers and diminishing amounts later. Atkinson cautioned of unresolved justice and tribal tensions. In other business Reverend Gary Moore was welcomed as a new club member.
