County Budget Nears OK By Paul Sweitzer
The Coconino County Board of Supervisors moved toward tentative approval of its 1976 77 budget totaling 12 964 276 with a public hearing. Final adoption and setting of the property tax rate will occur Aug 17 after another hearing. The plan increases the budget by 1 472 520 while the levy falls to about 81 cents per 100 valuation as valuation rises by more than 25 million. The hearing saw minor questions from taxpayers. salaries and a new administrative services dept drew focus as the county eyes a regional computer services approach. Adoption is expected to be nearly unanimous.

Highway Accidents Claim Three Lives
Three people died in separate Arizona highway crashes Tuesday near Flagstaff and Seligman. Edward Krank Gentseh and his son Robert were not injured after a state vehicle struck a crossing man. Raymond Lamer Newton died in a single vehicle rollover near Ast Fork injuring his wife Elaine and their three children. a bicyclist on Interstate 10 east of Bloy was killed when a tractor-trailer hit him. The state 1976 highway death toll rose to 269.
