It says the Agnew committee falsely reported 49 thousand as contributions from 31 donors and did not report the transfer. The report names treasurer Blagden H Wharton, accuses him of false statements, and notes unnamed participants willfully aided the concealment. The GAO referred the matter to the Justice Department for possible criminal prosecution.

By 10:30 a.m. Friday a fire west of Munds Park near Flagstaff was being fought, caused by lightning like the others in the past 30 hours. Most blazes stayed under two acres, only one exceeded three acres before containment. Hot, dry conditions and the season's first thunderstorm setup fueled the rash, with campfires and smoking limited to designated areas.

Four Booked On Drug Counts In Flagstaff Court
Four individuals faced drug charges in Flagstaff Justice Court on Thursday. Leslie Schaeffer was charged with two felonies for possession of marijuana and dangerous drugs for sale and posted 2200 dollars bond. Richard Alan Loebig and Alanna Gail Loebig, both of Flagstaff, faced felony possession of marijuana and dangerous drugs with bonds 2200 and 60 dollars respectively. Richard Alan Field, also of Flagstaff, was arraigned on one count of possession of pot with bond 1100 dollars.
