Pow Wow 1977 Opens With Parade, Rodeo At Fort Tuthill
Flagstaff Pow Wow 1977 kicks off at 7 30 tonight at Fort Tuthill with four days of dances rodeo and parades. About 15 dance teams from 11 tribes five bands and code talkers from Window Rock join the event. Admission 5 dollars for dances and 3 dollars for rodeo. A Saturday parade begins at 10 am marching from Bitch Street to San Francisco Street then Aspen Avenue. Up to 500 rodeo entrants and as many as 100 000 spectators expected with a shuttle bus service from four city pickup points at 50 cents fare.
