Sanchez, 20, son of Mr and Mrs Max P Sanchez of 35 W Fourth St Winslow Arizona, earned proficiency pay for his outstanding work as a personnel specialist in the 328th Ordnance Battalion AO in Italy. He entered the Army in November 1939 after working at Douglas Food Market and attending Pueblo Colorado and Winslow High Schools. His wife Angelina accompanies him in Italy.

Funeral services for Weller Runke In age 53 long time buildings and grounds superintendent at Arizona State College and Flagstaff School Board member are set for 3 pm Friday at Federated Community Church in Flagstaff. Burial in Masonic Cemetery follows with Flagstaff Lodge No 7 FAM conducting graveside rites. Runke died suddenly at his home from a heart attack after a long career in Flagstaff and Arizona education. He was born August 3 1890 in Panguitch Utah and lived in Tuba City before moving to Flagstaff in 1920. He is survived by his father his wife two sons a daughter two grandchildren and a brother and sister. Pallbearers include Neil V Christensen Dy W Sechrist Win Hensley Robert Bob Piper Gordon Beckley and Don Clark. Masons will meet at 2 15 pm at the Masonic Temple Friday.
