Funeral services for Joe A. Kellam 84 a long time Arizona cattleman are pending. Born December 10 1878 in Benton County Ack he came to Prescott around 1907 later moved to Flagstaff area. He never married and served on Coconino County Board of Supervisors. Survivors include nieces and nephews Emmett Kellam and Joe Kellam of Cottonwood and Jessie Whitson. brother Jess Kellam preceded him in death.

W D James district manager for Southern Union Gas Co in Northern Arizona for 11 years is promoted to Albuquerque New Mexico district manager. He will stay in Flagstaff until a successor is named. James, a 25 year veteran, will oversee natural gas service to over 75 000 customers in Albuquerque Belen Bernalillo and Las Vegas. He has held multiple civic roles and received regional honors. County Supervisor Huffer Elected Arizona Association Vice President

Navy Veteran Crushed by Train Door Death

Linzo Brown 36, a Navy veteran recently discharged from the service, died when a heavy door in a Southern Pacific freight car collapsed on him. The accident occurred Saturday while he was resting inside the car, police said.
