Ex-Policeman Pleads Guilty In Theft Case
Eldon McCabe a 23 year old former Navajo policeman pleaded guilty to possession of stolen property taken from the Navajo Arts and Crafts Guild at Winton Rock. Disposition of two other charges from the July burglary was withheld pending sentencing by US Judge William F Copple on Feb 8. McCabe was dismissed as a detective sergeant after the charges were filed against him and two juveniles.

Navajo Education Workshop Planned
The Dine Et Olta Association received approval and a $75,000 HEW budget for a six week summer workshop. Led by Dillon Platero, it trains Navajo teachers to read and write Navajo, develop culturally relevant materials, and integrate language and culture into language arts, music, social studies, and crafts.
