Services Set Wednesday For S C Black

Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 17 nan for S C Black who died Saturday at Oak Leno on the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Stake Building with Bishop Nelo E Rhoton officiating. The deceased was a member of the silencer Flagstaff family. Final rites will be in the lagataty Masonic cemetery with Plagstaff Lodge No 7 I AM in charge of graveside services. The body will be at the Flagelaft Mortuary from 5 to 10 p.m. Tuesday for visitation, and Wednesday from 3 a.m. until 10 3t am. Pallbearers will be members of the Flagstaff Masonic Lodge and include Durfee Wren Clifford Wing aman Bal Piper Harold Bishoup WH Sutcliffe and Art Hawkins.

Rites Pending For Former Winslow Nurse

Frances Gasele Stevenson 63 died Sunday at Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix services pending in Winslow. She moved to Winslow in 1930 with husband Henry C. Stevenson, was a nurse at Winslow General Hospital and charter president of the Winslow Soroptimist Club, past president of the Republican Women's Club, and an Episcopal Church member. Surviving: husband, son in California, sister and several in-laws. Burial in Desert View Cemetery, Winslow.

Chalmers D. Morris, a Santa Fe brakeman and 10 year railroad employee, died Saturday night at his home in Joseph City. Burial was in Holbrook Cemetery.

Northern Arizona Free Of Car Deaths

Northern Arizona reports an auto death free period since December 21 with no fatalities on area highways through two major holidays. Patrolmen credit cautious driving, strict enforcement of drunken driving laws, good weather, and luck. The statewide tally remains high though Northern Arizona records eight fatalities citywide so far this year versus twenty last year.

Holbrook Chamber Installs New Board Officers

Holbrook Chamber of Commerce installed its new officers at a Saturday dinner meeting held January 14. Woodrow W. Malone becomes president, Sam Tryday vice president, and Harry Studer secretary-treasurer. The board was elected January 9 and met January 11 to select officers.
