Deadly Alabama twister kills three and injures many
A tornado struck southeast Alabama near Ozark killing three people and injuring scores. Fort Rucker reported 15 injured admitted to hospital with 50 to 45 more minor injuries. Two arrived dead at the Army hospital. another body was taken to a funeral home in Enterprise as deputies described widespread destruction of trailers and helicopters.

Landmark City Building Razed for Parking in February
The Wilson building at San Francisco and Birch, a downtown landmark built in 1914 15 by C B Wilson Sr, will be demolished in the first week of February to create more parking for First Federal Savings and Loan Association. The Wilson Camp ton and Egan law offices recently relocated to the Masonic Temple. First Federal will renovate its current offices and face the main entrance onto the new lot.
