Supervisors Study Insurance Proposal for Sheriff Office
County Sheriff Cecil Richardson urged a personal liability insurance plan for the Sheriff’s Office with a $1 725 yearly cost covering deputies and all staff. The plan would pay for false arrest false imprisonment defamation assault improper service of papers and malicious prosecution suits including 46 employees. Board members questioned county policy coverage and asked the agent for details while approving hospital indigent care bids and other administrative actions.
