Mostly sunny today and Wednesday with cool nights across Flagstaff and northern Arizona. Highs near 90, lows around 7 to 20, with Sedona 53 to 65 and Winslow Holbrook mid 40s. Lake Powell near 50. Hospital notes list admissions, marriage licenses, dissolutions. multiple fire and gas incidents reported.
Police report three East Flagstaff vehicles sustained about 100 dollars in damage each from a pellet gun. Vehicles belonged to Sylvia Gessman, John Sininger, and Anthony Fajardo, all parked at residences while their owners were visiting friends.
Tucson City Manager Joel Valdez warned that without a water rate increase in the near term the system will show a deficit by February 1978. He said officials estimate revenues will be 6.6 million dollars below expected for the current year, delaying funds needed to expand the water system.
