WINDOW ROCK AP Nominees for a proposed tribal tax commission may be submitted to the Navajo Tribal Council at its meeting next week. The tribe plans to push ahead with a taxing authority to challenge state efforts to tax leasehold interests on the reservation, potentially triggering legal fights with Arizona New Mexico and Utah. The commission would study new revenue methods and establish a separate tax system, with a qualified head still sought.
