Lady Spencer Churchill widow of Sir Winston Churchill dies in London at age 2 after a heart attack. Grandson Winston Churchill announces the death saying she was lunching with her secretary when stricken. Born 1889 to Sir Henry Hozier, she married Winston Churchill in 1908 and faced years of ill health and seclusion after her husband’s death in 1968.

Daily Sun Wins Blue Ribbon Newspaper Designation

Indiana Man Named New Airport Chief

Vincennes Indiana resident Petey R Saderquist aged 29 has been chosen to head Flagstaff Pulliam Field replacing the retired Francis X Shamrell. He will start January 30 as manager of the Lawrenceville Vincennes Municipal Airport in Indiana. He holds a bachelor’s in aeronautic technology from Saint Louis University and spent all his years in the U S Air Force. He is married with two children and will earn 17000 dollars annually.

Protesting Farmers Rally Across States Demand Higher Prices

Thousands of farmers paraded in 30 states with tractors cars and go-carts as they await results from demonstrations for higher prices. In Atlanta state patrol counted about 5000 tractors while organizers claimed 17000. Topeka drew 5000 as protests spread. American Agriculture wide group with rumored million members organized the action and called for a nationwide farm strike on December 14. Secretary Bergland endorsed the strike but warned it may fail without near total participation by commercial farmers.
