Store Owners Reminded of Employment Laws
Laval singers and shoppers were reminded of state labor regulations governing women and children. State Labor Department Director Moulihan noted no more than eight hours per day or 48 per week for women, with domestic work the exception. Boys under 16 and girls under 18 may not start before 7 am. Children under 14 are prohibited from work unless cleared by school officials. Farm domestic workers are exempt.
