Gas Truck Explodes at Rest Home Killing Three

An out of control propane truck crashed into the entrance of a rest home in Electra Texas, bursting into flames and killing three elderly patients. About 33 residents were rescued. one injured. Owner Walter Rleging said the blaze spread quickly and victims perished as flames swept the single-story building in the disaster.

Holbrook Teacher Earns Library Science M.A. Degree

Confab closes after anti red talk at ASU campus

About 411 people attended the Arizona State College campus event begun in August 1925 under the American Association in Colleges for Teacher Education. Admiral Willan C. Mott spoke on Education for the Defense of Democracy and urged teachers to be trained to teach about communism. He noted seminars by the American Bar Association and proposed 25 to 30 seminars next year for teachers and social scientists.

Funeral services are set for Monday at 2 p.m. in Flagstaff Mortuary Chapel for Mrs Annie Hicks 61 who died Tuesday at Flagstaff Community Hospital Jehovah's Witnesses directing. Coffees Planned for Bishop Campaign in Third District

Model Airplane Show Sunday Near Flagstaff

The Arizona Radio Control Society sponsors a radio controlled model airplane show at Koch Field eight miles northeast of Flagstaff this Sunday from 1 a.m. to sundown. More than 30 planes will be exhibited with demonstrations. Admission is free. Beardsley field is home base for ARCS. About 15 top Phoenix modelers expected to attend invitatational meet.
