Services set for Tuesday at 11 am Sedona Wayside Chapel with Rev W G Meengs officiating. Burial in Sedona Community Cemetery. Born in England June 189? later moved to Central City Colorado. He graduated from Central City High School in 1915 and earned degrees at Colorado State Teachers College Greeley including an A M after serving as dean’s secretary and registrar 1918 1921. Rain Helps City Ease Water Crisis Amid Drought
Rain last week cut city water use to 4.13 million gallons per day from 4.0 million the prior week, still well below the 7.7 million summer peak. Upper Lake Mary loss near 15.4 million gallons, with about 73 million gallons remaining in Ho Lake. City plans to rely on Inner Basin wells and Lake Mary well two. pumping Inner Basin supply year round begins, with drilling a third Lake Mary well set to start in about a month. Inner Basin storage rose by nearly five million gallons as precipitation reached 1.82 inches for the week, 6.42 inches year to date.

John Gobert, a 29 year old Native American Navy veteran from Browning Montana, lost his left leg in Vietnam and then brought medical care to the isolated Havasupai in Supai Arizona. He organized a mobile clinic, trained Indian medics, and coordinated heli rescue missions to treat the seriously ill in the Grand Canyon village. Gobert has been named Outstanding Disabled American Veteran by the Disabled American Veterans.
