Kingman to Get $200000 Federal Aid for New Artery
Gov. Rawl Castro announced a $200000 federal grant from the Four Corners Regional Commission to Kingman for a cross town traffic artery bridging the Santa Fe Railroad. The sum plus $585000 from other sources funds traffic signals storm drains paving and two bridges improving access to Haulapai Mountain Park and spurring Kingman development.

State Farm to raise Arizona insurance rates
State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance plans an average 5.9 percent rate increase in Arizona effective September 1. The premium rise will average about $5.60 per six month policy for over 200,000 insured vehicles, with area breakdowns including 3.7 percent in Mesa and Tempe, 6.9 percent in Phoenix, 2.6 percent in the rest of Maricopa County, 8.4 percent in Tucson, and 3 percent elsewhere in the state.
