Three Flagstaff residents were hospitalized after a one vehicle crash on U S Highway 180 shortly after midnight. Driver Carl Weathersbee and passengers Bill McLaughlin and Laura Backus, all of Flagstaff, remained in satisfactory condition with McLaughlin in the intensive care unit. Patrolman Jim Robertson arrived at the scene near the Snow Bowl Road farm off after midnight, with the accident occurring about an hour earlier.

A 45-year-old Flagstaff woman, Emrigene McCoy of 323 West Apache Road, is listed in critical condition in the Barrow Neurological Institute ICU in Phoenix after a Monday gunshot wound to the head.
