Fred E. Weibel Sr. of Weibel Champagne Vineyards was named general chairman of the Washington Hospital expansion campaign aimed at a 9.7 million extension. The plan would raise bed capacity from 156 to 274 and add core facilities for a 400 bed hospital, financing via bonds issued with a 23 year limit.
California State College Hayward faces an enrollment reduction of about 1,980 students for 1970 71 as budget revisions aim to curb overcrowding. Officials project 9,410 to 9,500 admissions this fall from an anticipated 11,000 the next year, amid a statewide budget reduction plan proposed by Gov Reagan and reviewed by the state college trustees.
