Reserves May Get Early Discharge
Representative Schweiker said Pentagon sources hint that some reservists called up after the Pueblo seizure could be released from active duty by the end of October. He estimated more than 18 percent, about 2,000 men, may be deactivated and urged prompt deactivation of all 14,787. He cited VF-931 at Willow Grove Navy base and noted their duties were routine and not tied to the Pueblo crisis.
