Secret Service agent Buendorf aided Ford assassination thwart

Larry Buendorf, a 37 year old Secret Service agent, helped prevent an apparent assassination attempt on President Ford. A former Navy jet pilot, he joined the agency in 1970 and served in Chicago before Protecting the President since 1973. Buendorf hails from Wells Minnesota and is a Mankato State alumnus.
