Man wounded in burst of bullets in Union City

A 23 year old man Ricky Bolivia was shot in the back at Ith and I streets by a couple in a car. Three hours later police arrested a suspect at Pry Creek Apartments Mission Boulevard. Bolivia was hospitalized and surgery planned. Witnesses described a silver 1969 Pontiac Grand Prix, blond man with mustache and a brown haired woman.

Last flu shot Sunday ends Alameda Tri-Cities drive

Alameda County wraps its final scheduled Sunday swine flu inoculation in the Tri-Cities tomorrow from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at five sites. Free shots for adults 18 and over will be given at Gomes Elementary in Fremont, Irvington High, and Washington High. Newark High School and James Logan High in Union City also host clinics.
