Two men robbed the Vness Drug Store at 26953 Mission Boulevard last night ordering the assistant manager to open the safe. They held the clerk and another bystander as hostages and fled with cash. Police surrounded the suspect residence but the threat proved a hoax. Descriptions matched two men about 30 to 35 years old wearing tan slacks and light shirts, armed with revolvers.
