My Lai hush-up Henderson trial recess in court martial
In Meade Maryland the court martial of Col. Cran K Henderson on My Lai coverup charges is in recess until Nov. 4 after the government rested its case. The trial reviews Hendersons role in the 1968 My Lai slayings and whether he failed to report or lied about civilian deaths as defense attorneys seek to show subordinates blocked his view. The panel of generals and colonels will decide, possibly in December, on up to six years hard labor and dismissal if the charges are proven.
