Officer testifies in third Newton trial
Oakland officer Herbert Heanes testified about the night of Oct 28 1967 when Huey Newton and officer Frey confronted them. Heanes described drawing his weapon firing at Newton during a struggle and later being wounded, as the trial for manslaughter proceeded with Newton co founder of the Black Panther Party facing murder charges.
