County reports high AFDC accuracy improves welfare payments
Alameda County supervisors praised state cooperation after Marion J. Woods of the state benefit payments department said the county did not pay AFDC to any ineligible family between January and June, far below the statewide 5.5 percent error rate. The board adopted two resolutions and approved an array of routine measures including a flood control contract, courtrooms funding steps, a variance for the East Bay Dischargers Authority, and rat control staffing with updated totals around $112,090 last year.
