In Yuba City California Gloria Corona tears up as reporters ask about her husband Juan a suspect in nine killings. Neighbors recall a quiet family with four daughters aged 4 to 8 who stayed mostly indoors and kept to themselves while a relative moved the children away from the home.
Japanese American farmer Goro Kagehiro found a foot deep grave on his Yuba City orchard last week. A sheriff’s deputy opened it to reveal a body, while ten men, a labor contractor Juan Corona associate, toiled nearby.
Sheriff reports twelve graves across river banks and orchards near Yuba City, with nine bodies found and a 37 year old farm labor contractor in custody. Two open graves near the bank measured about six feet deep, while additional graves lie along the west bank and nearby orchards. Authorities believe more graves may exist in the area.
