St Lucia tightens job rules for foreigners
St Lucia imposes work permits for non citizens with ministerial discretion under the Foreign Nationals and Commonwealth Citizens Employment Act. The law aims to shield local workers as Caribbean migration shrinks and unemployment grows. Penalties include fines up to 100 dollars and up to six months in jail for illegal employment.
