Lots of Dots fashion show benefits cystic fibrosis effort
Fremont Branch of the Cystic Fibrosis Center Guild plans a June luncheon at the Country Club of Washington Township. Fifteen members, including six wives of Fremont police officers, have already raised over $1,000 with support from the Southland Banjo Club. The event features a polka dot decor theme, a wine-tasting party and a parade by Mildred's of Fremont.

The event, themed Brides Through the Ages, featured a parade of wedding gowns tracing nuptial fashion over about a century, with wedding songs performed by Mrs. Guy Johnson and the church day school choir.

Wilhites vacation trip takes Fremont club official away
Mrs. Bill L. Wilhite, vice president and publicity chair for Fremont Woman's Club, temporarily leaves her post to join her husband on a United Airlines flight to Honolulu. They will stay ten days at The Reef Hotel on Waikiki Beach while Mrs. Wilhite’s Birmingham, Alabama parents care for their two children, David, 7, and Leigh, 4, and vacation in California.

Golf Classes Offered at Skywest Course Hayward
Golf classes are offered at Skywest Golf Course in Hayward by the Southern Alameda County Branch of Oakland's YWCA. Two classes weekly on Wednesday 10 to 1 and Thursday 11 to 12 noon begin next week.
