Union City Citizens Advisory Committee May Be Disbanded
A Union City vote looms as officials consider ending the four year old Citizens Advisory Committee established in 1967 to guide a general city plan. Councilman Kimmel says lack of council guidance hindered the group's work and $17,000 plus thousands of hours have not yielded adoption. City Manager Williams expects a plan to dissolve once issues are settled, with commissioners noting many cities disband committees after completing a task.
