Christina Onassis asserts control of father's empire
Christina Onassis, heiress to Aristotle Onassis, declares she will decide on business matters. She held talks with Shell Oil and British Petroleum executives about the multimillion dollar shipping and finance empire and met with her adviser to review plans while stepping away from questions about her stepmother and marriage rumors. UPI report notes market speculation on tanker dealings and potential inherited problems as she returns to Monte Carlo.
