Revenue shares for South County cities under Nixon plan

Washington Correspondent BENJAMIN SHORE reports that under the president’s community development revenue sharing program Hayward would get 729000, Fremont 609000, San Leandro 462000, and Alameda 663000. Pleasanton, Livermore, Newark, and Union City would receive nothing in this phase, while other South County towns see varying amounts in separate general revenue sharing. The program, part of 11 billion in special and general revenue sharing, aims to replace older aid programs and fund rural development, education, job training, and transportation.
