Grinding Four-Car Crash Aftermath Of Speed Contest
A morning speed contest on Mission Boulevard north of Niles Canyon Road caused a colossal four car pileup. One man, John R. Quinones, 51, Fremont, was hospitalized in satisfactory condition. Two 18 year olds, Stephen G. Reedy and Robert F. Murray, both Pacific State Steel employees, were racing and cited for reckless driving and speed contest. Jose O. Bendejas, 35, Union City, escaped with minor damage to his vehicle.
