Large crowds are expected at the Alameda County Fair opening with daily hours from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Admission adults two dollars, children 50 cents, under 6 free. Six family nights with half-price after 5 p.m., senior day June 2 with free admission for those over 65 or gold card holders. Opening day features Maid of Alameda County pageant at 3:30 p.m. 12 days of horse racing with no Sunday races. daily schedule includes Appaloosa, two quarter horse and nine thoroughbred races. Grandstand admission 1.50, reserved seats 1.50 more. New pavilion and Market Lane with arts, crafts, and 300 exhibitors.
