Livermore Pioneer Kin Joseph Liverworth Dies at 78
Joseph W Liverworth 78 descendant of Livermore founder Robert Livermore died Tuesday. He worked 15 years for Kaiser Sand and Gravel, survived by wife Louise six children a brother sister and 11 grandchildren. Rosary tonight at Callaghan Livermore Mass at St Michael's Church tomorrow burial in St Michael's cemetery. Contributions to American Cancer Society. He was active in St Michael's Parish Laborers Union Local 3.

Handicapped to get discount on public transit
Beginning July 1, handicapped persons will start receiving reduced transit fares under a joint plan by AC Transit and the Hay Area transit district. Applications are available from AC or HART. AC Transit will set a 10 cent off peak base fare with no zone changes and half fare with zone changes on Transbay routes. HART will issue discount tickets at $1.50, good for $6 in rides.
