Kuwaiti commandos halt hijacked jet without injuries
A Kuwaiti army commando team overpowered a Lebanese hijacker aboard a Libyan charter Boeing 707 after the Beir Beirut to Baghdad flight was forced to land at Kuwait Airport. All 103 passengers and seven crew survived with no shots fired, while negotiations over a $1.5 million ransom continued. The hijacker, a 2 year old Lebanese man using a wheelchair, remained on the four engine jet as officers planned the pickup. The passengers included 56 Lebanese and 24 Iraqis among others.

Moluccan terrorists free two pregnant women on train
On Saturday South Moluccan gunmen released two pregnant hostages from a hijacked train near Assen Netherlands.
