Match charges dismissed in Livermore case against Mutch

Misdemeanor counts of displaying a weapon in a threatening manner and assault with intent to commit a felony against Marvin Lee Match, 19, were dismissed in Livermore Municipal Court. The DA said the charges were dropped because Match was already sentenced to life in prison for the first degree murder of Cassie Riley in Union City last month, making a trial wasteful and a torment to the victim's family. The Livermore charges, to which Match pleaded innocent, involved an attack on a 13 year old girl.
