Supervisors appoint new BASSA alternate in split vote
Alameda County supervisors approved the selection of C. R. Ted Hitchcock as an alternate to the Bay Area Sewage Agency in a 3 to 2 decision. The vote followed weeks of deliberation and a back-and-forth on the selection process, with Hitchcock beating Helen Burke for the slot after earlier nominations. The meeting also covered planning issues, tickets to Dierker’s septic concerns, and other county actions.
