Vargas Family Fosters 26 Children From Fremont
Mr and Mrs Earl E Vargas of Fremont attended the first national Conference of Foster Parents in Chicago. They witnessed growing national awareness of foster care needs and goals. The couple, longtime foster parents, described the convention as a place to see love in action and to push for broader community support and better cooperation with welfare services. They noted discussions on liability, racial issues, and longer foster placements. The Vargases plan to help public understanding and a national week of action for foster children.
