It all started with Robert Livermore
A century of Livermore history begins with Robert Livermore born 1795 in London. He left the British navy in 1822, joined Rancho Agua Caliente, and by 1839 owned land with Jose Noriega. The area grew through grants, settlement, and the rise of Laddsville and the later Livermore town, culminating in incorporation on April 3, 1876 with 840 acres and 21 buildings.
