Drawbridge Fremonts ghost town fades into quiet waterfront ruin
Fremont Drawbridge on Station Island near the Alameda Santa Clara line once drew 2000 weekend visitors and trains from Oakland for duck hunting and gambling at Spring Hotel. Now the marsh is sliced into salt ponds and private property. only a few weathered cabins remain with occasional hunters and fishermen.
