Currier and Ives prints remain sought after by collectors with the piece The Life of a Hunter Tight Fix achieving a record 47 500 at last year’s auction. The series covers 1835 to 1907 with over 7 000 subjects, originally sold 8 cents to 3 75, and many prints feature outdoor hunting and fishing scenes drawn by English artist Arthur Fitzwilliam Tait.
