Open Door YFU Hosts Bring World to Fremont Dinner Table
Carol Goodhue profiles Marie and Russell Dockter and their family as area representatives for Youth for Understanding. The Dockters hosted 13 international students since 971, including Sini Sikava of Finland, and describe the program’s growth since German students postwar. They praise American hospitality, discuss adjustment challenges, and note a national Bicentennial honor inspiring scholarships for American students.
