Dinner Dance marks Newark Women's Improvement Club 50th anniversary
The Newark Women's Improvement Club celebrated its 50th anniversary with a gala dinner dance at Silver Pines Country Club attended by over 150 guests. Committee led by Mrs. Leon R. Watson organized the event featuring The Mel-O-Dees orchestra. Notables included Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Brown and Mr. and Mrs. Roy Jensen greeting guests, with past residents Mr. and Mrs. Joe Pashote reuniting with Gordon Cottons and former Newark residents Mr. and Mrs. Gene Carroll.
