Fremont theft suspects linked to prior burglary in same building
A Fremont resident spotted two strangers who had allegedly burglarized his car. The men, later charged with burglarizing Mrs. Blanche Blink’s apartment at 42010 Blacow Road, were found with stolen items. A third resident, Dale Gillespie, reported seeing them and found his television disassembled and left in his living room.

BART Nerve Center Plans for Automated Train Control

$900000 Damage Suit Over Altamont Rock Festival
A $900000 damage suit was filed in Alameda County Superior Court against the Rolling Stones and Altamont promoters on behalf of 14 East Bay landowners led by Mr and Mrs C W Tripp Hayward alleging property damage adjoined by traffic jams and four deaths at the Altamont Rock Festival. The suit seeks 40000 for property damage and 600000 punitive damages claiming the festival caused trespass destruction and nuisance with 900000 attended by 900000 people and decency complaints. Also named are Dick Carter California Northwest Capital Co Eureka B L Nilsen Filmways Inc and others with further actions already filed in January seeking breach of contract against Marin County Raceway. The festival site is up for sale with bids including Tripp.
